“The Sweetest Bridal Shoot”

When a Nashville wedding or in this case, a Nashville bridal session—calls, I’m all over that. Give me the open fields, golden light, and a story with heart, and I’m fully in my element.

Laura’s bridal shoot had all of that and more.

She invited me to her beautiful property, a place she owns and cherishes. It’s where she’s built her life with the animals she loves most. One of them, her beloved horse, has been by her side for years. He’s getting older now, and she knew she wanted to include him in this once-in-a-lifetime moment. This wasn’t just about portraits in a pretty dress it was about honoring a bond that has stood the test of time.

But what Laura didn’t quite warn me about was her horse’s best friend: a donkey named Cash. And let me tell you, Cash was not about to miss out on the spotlight.

We started the session with quiet, heartfelt moments between Laura and her horse. The kind of connection that says more than words ever could. And then, mid-shot, Cash made his grand entrance. He trotted right in like he was born for the camera.

Every time I thought I had a solo shot lined up, there was Cash ready for his moment.

Rather than try to stage anything, we embraced the beautiful chaos. The result? Pure magic. Some of my favorite images to date. Because they’re real. They tell Laura’s story.

This session was full of love, legacy, and a whole lot of personality, from a bride who knows what matters most to the animals who clearly adore her.

It was more than a photo shoot. It was a glimpse into a life built with care, full of history, and overflowing with heart.

With love (and now a permanent soft spot for donkeys),
Stacey 🤍
