There’s a moment at almost every wedding reception when the energy shifts from beautiful and heartfelt to downright electric. The speeches are done, the cake is cut, and suddenly… the real party begins.

That’s when I thrive.

You’ll find me in the middle of the dance floor (sometimes literally), camera in hand, chasing the pure joy that explodes during those reception hours. I’m talking full-skirt twirls, champagne toasts gone wild, ties wrapped around foreheads, and grooms being launched into the air by their crew.

One of my absolute favorite parts of this job is capturing people fully in the moment—not posed, not polished, just free and filled with joy. The bride, barefoot and beaming, dancing with her friends like it’s the best night of her life (because it is).

The groom, arms in the air, completely ready to party with every single guest. And me? I’m there, quietly clicking away, catching all of it.

Because these are the images couples tell me they come back to again and again. The ones they feel.

I love a quiet vow exchange or a misty first look, but when the dance floor opens and the night unfolds, I get to document the soul of the celebration.

So yes, I stay for the dancing. And if you see me grinning behind the lens, it’s because I know I just froze a moment you’ll relive for the rest of your life.
