The Best Months for Palm Beach Engagement Photos

Without question, the best time of year for engagement photos in Palm Beach is:

January Through May and again October Through Early December

These months give couples:

• Lower humidity
• Softer temperatures
• More comfortable evenings
• Beautiful golden sunsets
• Less chance of heavy rain
• Cleaner light for photography
• Better hair and makeup conditions

This is also when Palm Beach feels the most alive and beautiful.

Spring in Palm Beach is Absolutely Stunning

One of my favorite times for engagement photos in Palm Beach is spring.

During March, April, and early May, the bougainvillea throughout Palm Beach begins blooming beautifully. The soft pinks, corals, reds, and vibrant tropical colors create an incredibly romantic backdrop for engagement photos.

Areas around Worth Avenue and the hidden side streets of Palm Beach become filled with texture, color, and elegant scenery that feels timeless in photographs.

Spring also tends to have:

• More predictable weather
• Beautiful sunsets
• Comfortable temperatures for walking throughout Palm Beach

For couples wanting that classic Palm Beach aesthetic, spring is hard to beat.

Why We Avoid Summer Engagement Sessions in South Florida

While Palm Beach is beautiful year-round, I typically do not recommend engagement sessions in South Florida during mid June, July, August, and September.

Summer in Florida brings:

• Heavy humidity
• Afternoon thunderstorms
• Extreme heat
• Harsh sunlight
• Crowded beaches
• Frizzy hair and makeup challenges

Even beautiful locations can become difficult during peak summer weather conditions.

As photographers, we can absolutely work through weather challenges, but couples usually enjoy their experience much more during the cooler months. Engagement sessions should feel relaxed, romantic, and fun, not rushed because of lightning or overwhelming heat.

This is one reason many of our couples schedule their engagement photos in either:

• spring
• early summer before peak humidity
• October through early December
